A truly unique venue for a 100th Congress Gala Dinner to remember!

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is an internationally respected institution, a thriving global network of 25,000 medical professionals, pioneering in the advancement of surgical breakthroughs and patient care since 1505. Now offering cutting-edge hospitality, operating multiple venues in Edinburgh’s iconic old town, in an area called Surgeons Quarter, a perfect location for our 100th Congress and Gala celebration.

This event will be a true celebration of our 100th Congress including an elegant occasion with a few surprises.

Proposed flow of the evening:

• 19.30 hours - Gala Dinner Drinks Reception in the Quincentenary Reception
• 20.00 hours - Welcome speeches followed by a sumptuous four-course dinner in the Wolfson Room
• 21.30 hours - 100th Congress Celebration Toast and speeches
• 22.00 hours - Live music and dancing provided by Ceilidh band, The Jacobites
• 00.00 hours - Carriages

Dress code: Formal / Black tie, please.

This will be a chance to embrace being in Scotland, just before Christmas and take part by adding a 'touch of tartan' to your outfit!  We have chosen a special tartan to go with our theme for the event.

Whether you are a regular attendee at Faculty Congresses or will be attending your first Faculty Congress, everyone is welcome and we hope that as many colleagues as possible will join us for this special Centenary Congress.
