Dr Suhana Azis

BHMS, MD (Hom) 

Dr Suhana Azis graduated from the University of Kerala with a Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery (BHMS) and trained clinically at the Government Homeopathic Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, in 2008. She qualified in MD Homeopathy from the University of Calicut, Kerala in 2012.

She is presently a Research Officer in Homeopathy (Scientist II) at the Central Council for Research in Homeopathy and has more than twelve years of research experience. She is the Trial Coordinator of the multicentric Clinical Verification Research Programme of the CCRH. She is well trained in designing and conducting clinical trials, epidemiological surveys and establishing multidisciplinary collaborations with institutes of national repute. She is presently involved in 11 clinical trials as the lead investigator. She is also exploring the possible role of Homeopathy in novel domains like emerging infections, neurological disorders etc.

Apart from the core domain of research, she is also involved in various digital initiatives in the capacity of the Nodal Officer for the Ayush Grid Project (Ministry of Ayush), Project Coordinator for the Homeopathic Clinical Cases Repository (HCCR), a digital platform, as well as the Nodal Officer for the CCRH Media activities.

She has authored several peer-reviewed publications and is the lead contributor to four books on Clinical Verification findings consisting of new drug information. She also serves as a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board and Institutional Ethics Committee of the Department of Homeopathy, Government of Kerala (India), and a Member of the Research Coordination Committee, National Ayush Mission, Government of Kerala (India).

She is trained in GCP & NDCT Rules and ICMR National Ethical Guidelines from the Forum for Ethics Review Committee in India (FERCI). She has also completed a course on GIS application in Public Health from the Indian Institute of Public Health, New Delhi.
