Lisa Amerine, ND, DHANP, is a Naturopathic Physician with a lifelong passion and thus expertise in Homeopathy. Dr Amerine is one of a few Physicians in the US who have achieved Diplomate status, the highest honour of achievement that a licensed Physician practising Homeopathy can receive in North America. She founded her practice, Pure Homeopathy, in 2004, where she treats people of all ages and all ranges of disease. Her practice is located in the centre of the United States in Lafayette, Colorado.
In addition to her busy practice, Dr Amerine was recently elected as President of the American Institute of Homeopathy (AIH), the oldest medical organisation in the United States. She sits on the Board and is the Past President of the Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians (HANP). She also represents the United States as the National Vice President for the Liga Medicorum Homeopathica Internationalis (LMHI). Dr Amerine has spoken nationally and internationally, sharing and teaching her passion for Homeopathy.
When she is not studying Homeopathy, Dr Amerine enjoys time with her family, husband, Greg, and two daughters, Alexis and Brianna.
William Kadleigh Memorial Lecture
During the opening session of the Congress on Friday 22nd November 2024, Dr Amerine will deliver the inaugural William Kadleigh Memorial Lecture, entitled, "Homeopathy: Past, Present and Future".
In honour of Dr William Kadleigh, Dr Amerine will explore the foundation history of Homeopathy by reflecting on important leaders and a case from the past.
Moving to the present, she will discuss the way Homeopathy is integrated in our current culture, again by reflecting on leaders and demonstrating a short case.
In conclusion, Dr Amerine will speak to the future of Homeopathy, how can we as Homeopaths in the present, ensure a legacy that will build on the solid foundation that we have in Homeopathy and how Homeopathy can be integrated into medicine in the future.
After his tragic death, the William Kadleigh Memorial Fund was set up by his parents 50 years ago in order to help young Doctors to study Homeopathy. This fund has now been extended to create a lasting legacy for William ("Bill") by supporting leading Homeopathic speakers to deliver a biennial William Kadleigh Memorial Lecture.
