The Faculty has different personal membership categories, depending on where you are in your career. Our personal membership categories are - Associate, Licentiate (LFHom), Diplomate (DFHom), Member by Examination (MFHom/MFHom Int), Member by Equivalence (MFHom/MFHom Int), Member on the Specialist Register (MFHom Spec Reg), Fellow (FFHom), Honorary Fellow (FFHom (Hon)), and Retired Member.
Every Faculty of Homeopathy member joins as an Associate. You can then progress to Licentiat (LFHom), Diplomate (DFHom), or the prestigious Member by Examination (MFHpm) through further study and examinations. Some go further by becoming a Member on the Specialist Register (MFHom Spec Reg), or even a Fellow (FFHom). Increasingly experienced medical homeopaths are joining us as Associates and then being assessed for a higher level of membership through our equivalence process.

Furthermore, in order to be considered for Full Fellowship you will have been nominated by two current Fellows in recognition of your significant contribution to the advancement and practice of medical Homeopathy. Honorary Fellowship of the Faculty of Homeopathy is awarded globally to professionals who are widely recognised in the fields of science, literature, or have a distinguished service in homeopathy. Honorary Fellows may attend Faculty of Homeopathy Annual General Meetings, but they do not have member or associate rights. Honorary Fellows are recommended by the Faculty Council and are approved at a Faculty of Homeopathy Annual General Meeting.
Fellow is both a recognised qualification and a practitioner membership category. You may use the FFHom or VetMFHom post-nominals as long as you continue to be a Faculty of Homeopathy member. Honorary Fellow (FFHom (Hon)) is a lifetime recognition of your contribution to homeopathy and/or the Faculty of Homeopathy.
Retired Member
You may have stopped treating patients but that does not mean you have reached the end of your homeopathic journey. Over many years of medical/veterinary practice you have no doubt built up a wealth of skills, knowledge, and expertise. You may be interested in sharing your knowledge or continuing to learn and spread the word about this kind and gentle treatment. This means you are a valuable asset to homeopathy globally, and we would be delighted if you would consider Faculty of Homeopathy Retired Member membership.
As long as you continue with your Faculty of Homeopathy ‘Retired Member’ membership you can use your post-nominals, followed by ‘Ret’ or ‘Retired’.
If you are a non-medical homeopath and are interested in becoming a Non-medical Affiliate (AFHom) of the Faculty of Homeopathy, or require any information related to Faculty of Homeopathy membership, please contact us at - [email protected]
