Dr Sue Armstrong

Dr Armstrong is a 1984 graduate of Cambridge University School of Veterinary Medicine in the UK. In 1996 she became a Veterinary Member of the Faculty of Homeopathy, after training at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital and Homeopathic Professionals Teaching Group (HPTG), Oxford. Sue later became a tutor and then a partner of HPTG.
She was a founder member of the British Holistic Veterinary Medicine Association (BHVMA) and was President in 2003. She is a past President of the British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons (BAHVS) and past President of the College of Animal Homeopathic Medicine (CAHM) in Canada.
Dr Armstrong currently runs a referral practice in Thirsk, North Yorkshire where the bulk of her animal work is the integrated treatment of chronic conditions.
She lectures and consults internationally. She is a contributing author of "Foundations of Complementary Therapies and Alternative Medicine", and the author of "The Little Book of Thinking Dog" and "Cancer in Animals: What is to be Cured?" She is currently writing her next book, "Animals: Their lives on our terms".
Sue's presentation will be entitled "Chronic Liver Disease in Dogs: Homeopathic treatment as part of a multi-modality approach to case management".
She has managed many chronic Hepatopathy cases, with diverse aetiologies, throughout her 40 years in clinical practice. These cases invariably arrive on multiple drug regimens and have undergone multiple diagnostic interventions. Sue will illustrate her approach to these cases, giving examples from her practice.
