How did you start your journey in Homeopathy?
As a newly qualified General Practitioner I travelled to work in New Zealand, opening my eyes to a culture where natural approaches were used first, using strong medications only if needed. Patients recovered & were empowered in their health simultaneously.
On return to the United Kingdom I volunteered in the local homeopathic clinic, revealing results I didn’t know possible. I was lucky to go onto train at Glasgow Homeopathic Hospital with Dr Reilly & Dr Leckridge. Fabulous teaching with a lovely bunch of colleagues & seriously impressed by patients recovering from illnesses, often unable to be helped by conventional medicines.
How do you integrate Homeopathy into your Practice?
I ran an NHS Homeopathic Clinic in my practice & used remedies, as appropriate, in regular surgeries. Patients like having options & I enjoyed having more then one toolkit up my sleeve.
Many patients asked “How do I make myself better with food?” To better answer this question my interest in Nutrition & the Microbiome led me back to University to train in Nutritional Medicine, I am convinced a healthy Microbiome is fundamental to health.
Promoting Health-the natural way was founded several years ago, enabling me time to help patients integrate these options towards good health. The clinic is based in our local gym as I want all ages to know there are options available. Using homeopathic remedies, including bowel nosodes, alongside nutritional & hypnotherapeutic techniques I find the results are hugely rewarding. I would encourage young doctor’s to consider this path towards a fulfilling career in medicine.
